Why personalize? So Infocious can show you results tailored to your tastes.

For example, if you love cooking but don't care too much about computers, you can set your interests accordingly on the preferences page. This way when you search for things like apple and blackberry, you'll see more results about the fruits and less about computer related products. (See the blackberry example below.) It's that simple.

Below you can see the preference setting form. You can simply click on the radio buttons to indicate how interested you are in a particular topic. In the example below, we specified that our interest in Computers is low and that we are very interested in pages related to Home, which cooking is a part of.





Here's an example for the "blackberry" query, first without personalization:






and then with personalization turned on. Notice how the computer related pages are gone?
