InfoSpot is a novel, "in-the-flow" search technology that enhances your content by automatically placing useful resources right at your readers' mouse-tips. InfoSpots are not distracting pop-up ads; they serve to inform and engage your readers by bringing them useful information we extracted from our 2 billion page index.

Many Internet users are quickly finding out that simple keyword
searching is no longer sufficient, since keywords are being overloaded
with more and more meanings. To cope with this, users either have to
sift through irrelevant results or become "query smiths," authoring
more and more complex queries. With Infocious, this burden is a thing of the past.
Infocious leverage its linguistic
analysis technology to accurately pre-sort web pages into topics,
much like how a library is organized. So instead of making users go
through every book that mentions a keyword, Infocious offers the
option of going to a particular section first, such as history,
science, travel, etc., and then searching the titles within that
section.
This is what we call focused searching - helping narrow searches to a particular topic.
Websites specializing in a particular topic can
provide this type of focused searching to better serve their
audience. For example, for a site that attracts users who are mostly
interested in sports, Infocious can provide a search service for that
site to perform focused searches within sports-related pages of
the Web. A search for "diamond" would no longer show pages about jewelry.
Infocious currently offers focused searching within the topics of
travel,
health, and
business,
with more coming soon.
Everyone is welcome to add
Infocious' focused search boxes to their site free of charge, by
following these instructions.
Infocious can also create customized focused searching for a
particular audience, alongside Infocious' Web- and site-search
capabilities. Interested parties please contact us at sales@infocious.com.
